The gold standard at the Ivy

A lot of this particular project needed to be done on site. We were asked to use the existing glass panels in the fascias, which we needed to scrap off and thoroughly clean, before re sign writing and then loose leaf gilding. We also needed to do the same to the windows, sign writing and glass gilding Ivy logos where required. Glass gilding using gelatine to apply the gold to the glass, gives you a supreme quality look that vinyl cannot get close to. We laser cut out of perspex the oval projecting sign panels to fit over the existing bracket, these we needed to apply gold foil to the reverse and then paint background. Finally covering reverse in double sided tape for fitting purposes. The menu case is made from copper which we then age down and is totally bespoke made, with hidden locks and purpose made LED lights.
